The flashlight writing that I did on the last Night in the Life pictures inspired me to set up a little spirograph action in the bathroom of my apartment. I used a shoelace, a maglight, and a 15 second exposure on F8 to make the shots. http://www.bluejake.com/archives/2003/11/05/shower_spirograph.php

Holland International film festival: Ten Past Six (Dutch Experimental Film 60-90 I) Edward Luyken in his studio in New York, in a stop-motion film in which he creates ephemeral art works on a white wall, using paint, wood, pieces of string and other materials. The frame remains the same, the sound forms a loop.
Holland International film festival: Ponskaart Polonaise (Dutch Experimental Film 60-90 I) For financial transactions banks used to use a book with data punch cards, each of which was perforated in a different pattern. The film was made by making one or more shots of cards in a fixed location on a light table under the camera. The result is a rhythmic play of light and shadow, which evokes a dance of punch cards across the screen.
